Shipping & Delivery

We're committed to getting your new electric bike to you safely and quickly. Here's everything you need to know about our shipping process.

Free Shipping

Free shipping on e-bikes (except GatorTour Trike)

Standard e-bikes ship free to the contiguous U.S. The GatorTour Trike is large-format freight: shipping is calculated at checkout. Accessory-only orders ship free when the cart total is $1,000 or more; otherwise a flat rate applies at checkout.

Delivery Timeline

Standard Shipping

7-10 business days after order processing

Available for all U.S. addresses

Order Processing

1-2 business days for order verification and preparation

Orders placed on weekends ship the following Monday

Total Time: Most orders arrive within 8-12 business days from order placement.

Shipping Coverage

We currently ship to:

  • All 50 U.S. States (including Alaska and Hawaii - additional fees may apply)
  • U.S. Territories (contact us for rates)

We do not currently ship internationally. For international orders, please contact us at joe@gator.bike

Tracking Your Order

  1. Order Confirmation: You'll receive an email immediately after placing your order
  2. Shipping Notification: Once your bike ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email
  3. Track Online: Use your tracking number to follow your shipment in real-time
  4. Delivery Alert: Most carriers send notifications the day before delivery

Signature Required

⚠️ Adult Signature Required

For your security and to prevent theft, all electric bike shipments require an adult signature (18+ years old) upon delivery. Someone must be present to sign for the package.

If you won't be available, you can:

  • Authorize the carrier to leave the package (using their website/app)
  • Arrange to pick up at a carrier facility
  • Have it delivered to your workplace
  • Reschedule delivery for a convenient time

Shipping Methods

We ship via trusted carriers:

  • FedEx Ground - Most common for e-bikes
  • UPS Ground - Based on availability and location
  • Freight Carriers - For large orders or special situations

The carrier is selected based on your location and the most reliable service for your area.

Package Details

Packaging

All bikes are shipped in manufacturer packaging designed to protect during transport.

Assembly Required

Bikes ship 85% assembled. Basic assembly required (handlebars, pedals, front wheel). Tools and instructions included.

Weight & Dimensions

Package weight: 60-100 lbs depending on model
Package dimensions: Approximately 60" x 30" x 15"

Delivery Inspection

Important: Inspect Upon Delivery

  1. Check the package for obvious damage before signing
  2. Note any damage on the delivery receipt
  3. Take photos if you see damage
  4. Open and inspect within 24 hours
  5. Contact us immediately if you find any issues

DOA Policy: If your bike arrives damaged or defective (Dead on Arrival), we'll provide a full replacement or refund. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Delays and Issues

Weather or Carrier Delays

While rare, severe weather or carrier issues may cause delays. We'll notify you of any significant delays and work with the carrier to resolve issues quickly.

Lost Packages

If your package shows as delivered but you haven't received it:

  1. Check with neighbors and building management
  2. Verify the delivery address in your order confirmation
  3. Contact the carrier using your tracking number
  4. Contact us if not resolved within 24 hours

We file claims with carriers for lost or stolen packages and will work to resolve the situation.

Address Changes

Need to change your shipping address? Contact us immediately at joe@gator.bike or 985-317-5995.

  • Before Shipment: We can update the address at no charge
  • After Shipment: Contact the carrier directly using your tracking number

Multiple Items

If you order multiple bikes or items:

  • Items may ship separately
  • Each item gets its own tracking number
  • Promotional free-shipping rules use your cart contents (see Free Shipping above)
  • All items typically arrive within a few days of each other
